Quarry Bay Quarryside| Ima Collab : Les Chaises

Description

A solitary island, an elderly couple in their nineties.
For seventy-five years, every night, he tells the same story, she listens to the same story, then laughs, then cries.
Tonight is different; for an impending 'great speech,' they are busy entertaining a houseful of invisible guests.

Directed by Chan Shu-hei, starring Fung Lok-tak and Au Ka-man, performed in Cantonese, adapting the classic absurdist play written by French playwright Eugène Ionesco in 1952.
Two people, a room full of chairs, one night.

The performance will be held at 'Quarryside, Quarry Bay,' breaking conventional spatial boundaries and redefining the limits of absurdist theatre.

'Alright, let's begin telling it, your story, which is also my story: then we will……'
—— We sincerely invite you to push open the door, sit down, and become one of the chairs.
